Quote Terms

All estimates are based on the information available at the time of initial inspection and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Estimates are provided in good faith. They are not fixed-price quotations unless this is expressly confirmed in writing.

The final cost may differ from the estimate where additional faults or damaged components are discovered during the repair process.

Where additional work is identified during the repair, Piston Pros will contact you for approval before proceeding, except where:

You have pre-authorised an agreed additional spending limit; or immediate action is required to prevent further damage or to ensure the safety of the vehicle.

Engine rebuilding involves complete or partial dismantling. Hidden defects — including cracked heads, damaged crankshafts, worn bores, failed bearings, damaged pistons or rods, oil pump wear, turbocharger defects, timing wear and previous poor repairs — may only become apparent after dismantling and inspection.

Where such defects are found, a revised estimate will be provided before work continues wherever reasonably practicable.

Diagnostic time is chargeable regardless of whether you proceed with the repair. This covers fault investigation, electronic diagnostics, necessary dismantling, testing and reporting.

A successful diagnosis does not guarantee that only one fault is present.

Unless agreed otherwise, only new OEM or high-quality aftermarket parts will be used. Specialist or performance components will be discussed with you before installation.

If you supply your own parts: Piston Pros accepts no responsibility for their quality, compatibility or suitability; labour remains chargeable if supplied parts fail; the workmanship warranty applies to installation only; no warranty is provided on customer-supplied parts.

Payment is due in full upon completion of work. Cleared funds are required before the vehicle is released. Title to replacement parts remains with Piston Pros until full payment is received.

We accept Debit Card, Bank Transfer and Cash.

Workmanship is warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever occurs first) unless otherwise stated in writing. Parts carry the relevant manufacturer's warranty.

The warranty does not cover wear and tear, accident damage, misuse, overheating, oil starvation, lack of maintenance, contaminated fuel, ECU modification after repair, competition use or failure to follow running-in instructions.

By accepting this estimate you confirm that: you have read and understood these terms; you authorise Piston Pros to carry out the described repairs; you understand that additional defects may be found after dismantling and that further approval may be required; you agree to pay all authorised charges.
